Welcome

I have been modelling 1/76th for many years and hope you find my kits and wargaming interesting and an enjoyable surf!
Bear with me as i get my camera abilities better.

My kits are a mixture of plastic injection, resin and white metal. plenty of local Australian resin kits but also venerable Airfix and Matchbox models too....

Mainly European WW2 which first started out with US forces, then onto UK and then a smattering of Russian- but i realised i had to have someone to compete against..... so along came the Axis kits..

Click on the pictures, they expand and provide better detail.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for all the positive comments

Here is something that almost went in the bin!

1/76 UCM Maultier- "arrghh"- had to be the worse model ever, nothing fits and the running gear is almost un attachable!!
I love this sort of Germn gear- civilian trucks modified for army use- serious trucking .....and trying to make this kit was shocking! severely requiring filing and even the track axles are replaced with wire to hold the damn thing together.....
i remember the old addage...you cant make a silk purse out of a sow's ear! and this kit fits that perfectly
Anyway enough complaints- its now used for engineers!

  2. thanks Geordie
    will do

i never realised how many people there are that still make and use 1/76th

all the magazines are filled with 1/35 and 1/48th sacle gear and i thought Braile Scale was a dissapearing art

so to everyone who has their own "man cave' filled with fantastic plastic...keep it up and its delightful to hear from all the 'true beleivers'!

  4. Thanks GEM

I am just not a fan of the Russian kits- they do make some great odd ball and hard to get WW2 gear- like the Maultier- but just really hard to get a quality finish

  6. Thanks Geordie

i suppose i am just dissapointed with the build as its pretty flimsy in the running gear and just wanted something a bit more stronger and with better finish
there is bags of filler around the cabin just to get all the fit correct!
