I have been modelling 1/76th for many years and hope you find my kits and wargaming interesting and an enjoyable surf!
Bear with me as i get my camera abilities better.

My kits are a mixture of plastic injection, resin and white metal. plenty of local Australian resin kits but also venerable Airfix and Matchbox models too....

Mainly European WW2 which first started out with US forces, then onto UK and then a smattering of Russian- but i realised i had to have someone to compete against..... so along came the Axis kits..

Click on the pictures, they expand and provide better detail.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for all the positive comments

Matchbox Heaven......

Lets get early WW2.....
simple finish and nothing to add
classic plastic from the late 70's

i can remember the epithany i had when Matchbox released this generation of kits into the market
so cheap, so easy to build, so differant to what was in the market...
they were so good!!

would be interesting to find the chap in the UK who pitched this line to Matchbox and had the vision to release these....

  1. thanks Paul

its strange- they are such simple kits compared to the resin ones i do and i dont really take notice of these simple old Matchbox ones that i have
but they are such old favorites and i can remember being a lad in the 70's and being so excited that this NEW range had been released and helped add to the range of small scale stuff already on the market

  2. Oh yeah, man o man nothing like being a kid in the 70's buiding Matchbox kits and listening to the Bay City Rollers on your am radio!

  3. model kits in 2 tone colors that come with bases....what a modern world we lived in!

living in Australia i found it hard to find anything in a toy shop excpet Airfix and so when matchbox came out i went crazy buying heaps

then i discovered an actual model shop!! joy oh joy
