Welcome

I have been modelling 1/76th for many years and hope you find my kits and wargaming interesting and an enjoyable surf!
Bear with me as i get my camera abilities better.

My kits are a mixture of plastic injection, resin and white metal. plenty of local Australian resin kits but also venerable Airfix and Matchbox models too....

Mainly European WW2 which first started out with US forces, then onto UK and then a smattering of Russian- but i realised i had to have someone to compete against..... so along came the Axis kits..

Click on the pictures, they expand and provide better detail.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for all the positive comments

Rhine Crossing

Part of a larger campaign played with the allies and the push to get across the Rhine.
Half tracks on the way - with air cover by an M16
This road ended up the MSR and I have a heap of pictures with allied equipment on the way to the jumping off point.

  1. Looking good, with an appropriate worn look! I suppose all the halftracks are based on the Airfix model - one with a Matchbox 105mm gun taken from an M7 Priest kit? Thanks for sharing the images, regards, Pat

  2. Hi Pat

    thanks for the comments

yes there is something about the airfix halftrack that tugs at the modeller- its wildly innacurate but a cheap quick and easy build.

the 105 was an ex Roco minitanks gun - as it has the towed howitzer shield still attached, scale is 1.87 and fits in nicely

  3. Thanks for the info - excellent thinking about the 1/87 gun, you wouldn't tell the scale difference from the images.

  4. cheers

Rocco tank stuff is now very rare here in Australia- used to see it everywhere and now its virtually dissapeared.

i tripped over the gun in a toy shop and grabbed it
